Hi!

I'm just starting today and have no clue where to start. I installed MySQL and now I'm lost. I want to learn SQL in order to manipulate my database. I guess here's a list of questions I have right now:

1. How do I create a database? Does installing MySQL do that automatically?
2. Do I write SQL code like a programming language, and in what editor can I write it in? Does it get compiled and all that stuff? Is there a SQL-specific editor?
