Joining Simple-Talk will allow you to:

 

• Ask questions in our forums
• Access all content – including members-only articles, competitions and free tools
• Contribute more effectively to debates on article/blog content

Simply click on the Join link that you can find in the top right of every page on the site (see below).

 

You will be taken to the "Join the Simple-Talk community" page.

 

1. Pick a username – this will be displayed next to any posts you make to the site
2. Choose (and re-enter) a password
3. Enter (an re-enter) your email address
4. Select your time zone
5. Choose whether or not you wish to receive the Simple-Talk newsletter – obviously I hope you'll give it a try ;). See NOTE 1, below.
6. Read and accept the Terms and conditions.
7. Click Register.

At this point, you are immediately made a registered member of the site. However, you will receive one email confirming your member status. If you checked the "Simple-Talk newsletter" box, then you will receive a fortnightly newsletter. Apart from that, signing up for simple-Talk website will result in no additional emails.

 

Your email address will absolutely not be sold or in any other way passed on to other third parties.

 

NOTE 1:
If you already receive the Simple-Talk newsletter and are joining the Simple-Talk website using the same email address at which you receive the newsletter, then this checkbox is effectively disabled. If you leave it checked you will not receive duplicate copies of the newsletter. If you uncheck it, you will not be unsubscribed from the newsletter.
