Here is a list of some of the windows key board short cuts (thanks to Tilman):
Keyboard Meaning
Windows key Start menu
Windows key + D       Minimize all windows to Desktop
Windows key + D Restore minimized windows
Windows key + E Windows Explorer
Windows key + L Lock Desktop
Windows key + M Minimize windows
Windows key + Shift+M Restore Minimize windows
Windows key + R Run dialog box
Windows key + S Explorer Search
Windows key + Break/Pause key My Computers property dialog box

For explorer searching, I have to use win+F, not S. Regional difference maybe? (I'm in US)

And don't forget Ctrl+Shift+Esc, for Task Manager. Slightly quicker than Ctrl-Alt-Del, Alt-t.
