**SQL Prompt 3.6 Early Access is now available**

The full announcement, including a list of major new features and bug fixes, can be found here:

The short version is, if you've experienced some problems with 3.5 (exceptions, hangs after entering a dot, or any other performance type issues), please download this new version and give it a go to see if it fixes them. If not then please tell us: we'd like to get as many of these kinds of problems fixed as possible before the final 3.6 release. Just post on the support forum and one of us will get back to you as soon as we can barring accident, weekends, or a really good party.

There's also so much new stuff in there that you'd be mad not to upgrade when the final release comes out, even if you're one of the many people who's happy with 3.5. It's a FREE upgrade if you've already purchased any 3.x version of SQL Prompt.

You'll also note that we've done one of the slickest back-pedalling exercises in history by adding support for Microsoft Visual Studio Team Edition for Database Professionals (Data Dude).

About Bart Read

Bart has done many things since he started work at Red Gate Software Ltd in August 2004, but nowadays he's (mainly) the product manager for the .NET Developer Tools. He still feels like this is a bit like admitting you were cheering for the Empire whilst watching Star Wars, but for now he's along for the ride. In a previous incarnation he was a project manager leading the .NET Reflector Pro, ANTS Memory Profiler 5, ANTS Performance Profiler 4 & 5, and SQL Prompt 3.0 - 3.6 projects. He still occasionally writes some code and, in the past, has touched the code for most of the Red Gate SQL developer tools... some of them still haven't recovered from the shock. He was born and grew up in Dorset, was educated in Nottingham and London, and likes music and real ale. His photo is extremely misleading.
