Ion Freeman Ion Freeman
Ion Freeman is a Manager in Strategic Services at DOOR3, a business process improvement consultancy in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. He has been architecting user-facing data-driven solutions on UNIX and Microsoft platforms since 1992, and is working on a book about matching business processes to installed enterprise software. Ion has led software or process-improvement projects for Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound, Microsoft, HP, Lowe's Companies and Goldman Sachs. Ion holds a joint Master's Degree from MIT's schools of Management and Engineering, and developed the five-layer model of process support there. He also has a BA from Rutgers Camden in Physics, and is a returned Peace Corps volunteer. Ion is a mountain climber, marathoner and triathlete, and is getting married in March of 2009.
